Chapter Seven.......Ashley unwillingly goes for objectionable post rape tests......

‘Are you out of your mind? How can you even think of asking me for this test? I will leave if you keep on insisting for this test,’ I tried to reason with the doctor.

‘We understand your anxiety Ashley. You are free to refuse any examine if you don’t feel comfortable. But this test may help us in court. Defense counsel may give immoral reasons to complicate the case. They will try their best to assassinate your character,’

‘I know what you mean. But I don’t need to prove my chastity to anybody…not even to the courts. It’s too much for my mortal mind. The test is meaningless and does not prove anything,’ I argued with Doctor Madhu.

‘Look Doctor, it’s not a good thing to ask for this kind of test,’ Sammy objected to the inhuman two-finger test.

‘Not from where I stand Sir. It is okay Ashley; we will not do this test. I know it is discomforting for you,’ Doctor Madhu agreed to my objection as she took a deep breath.

‘I’m glad you changed your mind,’ I made no bones about it that I hated it

‘We got to take you home Ashley. We are through. Now you can change or take bath to clean yourself,’ Doctor Madhu said as she finished for the day and asked me to put my last night’s ruined clothes in an envelope for further tests.

‘Yes, I know how much clean I’m. There is no water or soap in the world which can clean me now.’ I said with a weary look.

All this time, Sammy sat outside alone and kept his head down with sad emotions on his face. He tried his best to avoid watching the questionnaire and came inside the room only when he saw me agitated on two-finger test. I hadn’t seen him like this before as he was always full of life.

‘Look officer! She looks very tired and exhausted. I know her statement is very important. Can you do it tomorrow?’ Sammy almost pleaded to the IO.

‘Yes Sir, we can wait until tomorrow. But you need to follow us. The press has the hint of assault and they are at the main gate. They are behaving in a usual way,’

‘But why press is here, at the hospital?’ Sammy asked her.
